Role Overview :

As a settlement team member, work to facilitate the successful settlement of US treasuries in FICC RTTM and the Bank of New York. Support competing businesses with professionalism and discretion. The role partners with Operations management, Risk, Finance, IT, GRD, and Client Onboarding, prioritizing risk aversion and regulatory compliance. The work of the settlement team directly impacts the funding capabilities of the firm, and the team has a responsibility to communicate issues effectively, thoroughly, and with all due transparency

Role Responsibilities:

* Process, settle and reconcile fixed income trades for the TPICAP businesses.

* Monitor trade flow and ensure post-trade processes are functioning from Middle Office and Back office applications along with messaging to the settlement depositories such as

* FICC, MBSCC, Bank of NY and reporting to Trace.

* Monitor and execute settlements of securities and create and execute money wires at the settlement bank and FICC. Monitor TRACE reporting and liaise with brokers and customers to resolve discrepancies.

* Reconcile daily settlement control accounts.

* Facilitate TMPG claims.

* Handle audit requests from internal and external auditors.

Experience /

Competencies:

Essential

* Excellent communications skills and an understanding of broker/customer relationship dynamics

* Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to use Microsoft Office

* Heightened understanding and awareness of counter party risk and settlement risk Qualifications & Experience

Desired

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience

* Series 99 required within one year of hire.
