Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Associate.
In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for conducting independent analysis of genome sequence data based on research conducted in the assigned laboratory under the mentorship of a senior scientist. The individual is expected to seek to build a portfolio of research accomplishments in preparation for acquiring a higher degree in biomedical research or medicine.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify, you must have a College graduate with a B.S. or B.A. in Biomedical Sciences, Genetics, Computational Biology, or relevant field. We seek someone with proficiency in R and Python-based analysis tools and handling large datasets in a UNIX environment. A minimum commitment of two years is required, and placement in position may not exceed three years.
Preferred Qualifications:
B.S./B.A. or M.S. in Biomedical Sciences, Bioengineering, Genetics, Computational Biology, or relevant field. Experience with handling large genome sequencing datasets like UK Biobank is desired.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $44,371.60 - $53,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
