Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

The Riverside Premier Rehabilitation and Healing Center is looking for a talented and hard-working Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant - COTA (Full-Time) to join our ever-growing rehabilitation team.

The Riverside Premier Rehabilitation and Healing Center is a facility with 520 beds and is proud of its state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Gym servicing 150+ short-term beds. Our team consists of 60+ therapists spanning 20 years of experience with backgrounds in acute, sub-acute, long-term and outpatient settings, providing an excellent setting for learning and growth. We provide rehabilitation services 7 days per week.

The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant is responsible for carrying out best practice treatments under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist. The Occupational Therapist Assistant will provide treatment by adhering to specific goals developed by the OT. The COTA must also provide feedback to the supervising occupational therapist via documentation or any other method required by facility policy.

• Must have graduated from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant college or university.
• Must have a valid professional license and registration for the state of NY.
• Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
• Experience with long-term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not required.
• Be well-versed with documentation writing.
• Document patient’s progress on weekly progress notes in a timely fashion.
• Collaborate with all disciplines to provide patient-centered treatment and care.
• Demonstrate exceptional patient service skills and clinical excellence.
• Arrive to work on time, adhere to scheduled hours, and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
• Perform all other duties assigned by the Director of Rehabilitation.
