Duties of an exceptional physical therapist (PT) include:
- Evaluate resident’s conditions & develop appropriate physical rehabilitation plans
- Relieve resident’s pain using exercises, hands-on therapy & stretching
- Help residents through their tasks and monitor their performance
- Supervise the activities of physical therapy assistants
- Maintain resident confidence & protect facility by keeping information confidential
- Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements
- Maintain a cooperative relationship among healthcare team members & contribute to team effort
PT Requirements Include:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Program
- Current New York State Physical Therapist (PT) License
