Receives patients at clinic reception area. Performs general clerical duties. Under general supervision, performs chemical analysis on blood samples and blood gases of cardiac catheterization patients.
Responsibilities- Monitors EKG and pressure recordings of patients during procedures.
- Maintains appropriate logs related to procedures.
- Performs related duties.
- Under direct supervision of the physician and RN, prepares patients, assembles, and operates hemodynamic and electrophysiology equipment during interventional and diagnostic procedures.
- Continuously monitors vital signs, EKG, and pressure recordings.
- Analyses inter-cardiac electrogram and reports results.
- Performs direct and indirect patient care.
- Maintains appropriate documentation.
- Performs other duties as related to the daily operation of the cardiac catheterization laboratory.
- RCIS (registered cardiovascular invasive specialist) and/or RCS (registered cardiac electrophysiology specialist) and/or IBHRE (international board of heart rhythm examiners) certification preferred at hire or within 2 years of employment.
- Licensed Clinical laboratory technologist preferred.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- High School Diploma required.
