Job Responsibilities:

Contribute to our team's success by taking on the following responsibilities:
Equipment Management:
Oversee the inspection, operation, maintenance, and calibration of respiratory equipment, including oxygen gear, CPAP, ventilators, high-flow systems, and other life support systems.
Technology Assistance:
Utilize both invasive and noninvasive technologies to support the treatment of cardiopulmonary disorders.
Patient Assessment and Medication Administration:
Conduct thorough patient assessments and administer medications through Nebulizers.
Weaning Protocols:
Follow MD-prescribed weaning protocols diligently.
Emergency Response:
Demonstrate expertise in administering advanced CPR and providing mechanical ventilation for adults.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, meet the following requirements:

Education:

Possess a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Care.

Experience:

Preferred experience in Respiratory Care.
Knowledge and

Skills:

Showcase in-depth knowledge of Respiratory Care equipment, encompassing applications, limitations, troubleshooting, and alternative courses of action.  Demonstrate a broad understanding of cardiopulmonary and respiratory care treatment.
Licensure Requirements:
Possess a current valid NYS license or certificate as a Respiratory Therapist.  Maintain active registration with the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).  Hold a mandatory BLS certification.
