Key Responsibilities
  • Medication Dispensing:
    Accurately dispense prescription medications to patients.
  • Patient Counseling:
    Provide guidance on medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pharmacy regulations.
  • Controlled Substances Management:
    Maintain precise records and responsibly manage controlled substances.
  • Staff Training:
    Train and mentor pharmacy staff to uphold best practices.
  • Collaborative Care:
    Collaborate with healthcare providers to enhance patient care.
  • Inventory Management:
    Monitor and manage inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess.
  • Insurance Processing:
    Efficiently handle insurance claims and reimbursements.
  • Customer Service:
    Address and resolve patient inquiries and concerns.
Qualifications
  • Required:

    Valid pharmacist license as per state regulations.
  • Required:

    Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.

    D.) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Preferred: 3-5 years of experience in a pharmacy setting.
Skills
  • In-depth knowledge of federal and state pharmacy laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in pharmacy management software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Dedication to providing outstanding patient care.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certification in Medication Therapy Management (MTM).
  • Experience in inventory management and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Proven success in managing a pharmacy team effectively.
