Are you a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist ready to help students in the Queens unlock their communication potential? Knowledge Road is looking for a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to become part of our team and deliver critical support to students in NYC Department of Education (DOE) schools. With a severe city-wide shortage of related service providers, your expertise is urgently required to assist students in overcoming communication barriers and reaching academic success.

This is a chance to create a lasting impact, working with students with varied communication needs in school-based settings. As an SLP with Knowledge Road, you will enjoy the autonomy to provide individualized therapy using evidence-based practices, partnering collaboratively with school teams and families to advance student communication development.

• Deliver direct, high-quality speech and language therapy services to students in both individual and group settings, as required by their IESP/IEP.
• Perform comprehensive assessments to diagnose and evaluate speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders.
• Develop and implement innovative and effective treatment plans customized to the unique needs of each student.
• Work closely with parents, teachers, and other school professionals to build a holistic and supportive learning environment.
• Keep meticulous and timely documentation of all services, progress, and outcomes in alignment with DOE and Knowledge Road standards.
• Take an active role in IESP/IEP meetings, contributing expert insights and recommendations to support student progress.

• Must-Have:
  Valid NYS license in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a school-based setting.
• Competence with electronic documentation and teletherapy platforms.
• NYC DOE fingerprinting and vendor status required or willingness to complete prior to start.

This is a full-time, school-day position in Queens with a schedule that aligns with the NYC DOE calendar. You will provide services on-site at one or more schools in Queens, with assignments determined by student needs. Hours per week are based on IESP/IEP mandates; caseload may fluctuate by assignment. Typically ~20-30 hours/week depending on placements.

$75.00/hr - $180.00/hr (base pay range). This 1099 contractor role pays a tiered hourly rate based on group size.
