Job Title:
Registered Nurse (RN) - Adult Care (Home Care)
Location: New York, NY
Job Type: Contract / Travel
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Hours: 40 hours/week
Position Overview
A healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide adult home care services. The RN will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a home health setting, focusing on assessment, treatment, education, and coordination of care to support patient independence and wellness.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive physical assessments and ongoing patient evaluations
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and wound care treatments
- Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans
- Educate patients and caregivers on disease management, medications, and safety
- Coordinate care with physicians, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams
- Accurately document patient care using Electronic Medical Records (EMR)
- Ensure compliance with home care standards, policies, and regulatory guidelines
- Promote patient safety, quality outcomes, and continuity of care
- Gross Weekly Pay: $3,619.87/week
- W2 Rate: $20/hour
- Weekly Stipend: $2,870/week
- Active New York State RN License
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience (acute or post-acute within the last year)
- Current Adult Care Home Health experience required
- AHA BLS certification (ACLS required for Queens assignments)
- Strong clinical skills in physical assessment, medication administration, wound care, IV therapy, and patient education
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
