Position Overview
This new HR Coordinator position is part of the HR team that enhances the success of our business. The coordinator reports to the VP, Human Resources and supports departmental administrative tasks. Projects and responsibilities may be added as needed.

Key Responsibilities- Assist and oversee initiatives for the office, including coordinating candidate interviews, employee engagement initiatives, and facility‑specific programs.
- Ensure needs are met in a timely manner and with the highest level of customer service in support of HR functional support, as well as manager and employee transactional HR support.
- Provide HR policy guidance to assist employees in locating and navigating enterprise and divisional policies.
- Oversee onboarding activities for all new hires to ensure complete and accurate information is collected and entered into HR systems and to ensure a positive experience for all candidates.
- Support new hire orientation and monitor candidate experience to ensure alignment with culture and efficiency of activities.
- Coordinate day‑to‑day HR administrative tasks to ensure compliance and accurate entry of data into HR systems.
- Partner with HR teams to design effective programs, processes, and policies to ensure standards across the facility/division are aligned with each other and across all areas.
- Identify and implement HR best practices to align, partner and collaborate with leadership to ensure high standards of service.
- Perform ad‑hoc requests and assist with special projects and other tasks or initiatives as needed.
- Assist the HR team with integrating culture standards consistent with the company’s mission, vision and values into business/facility/market/division practices and processes to ensure all employees experience and engage in supporting the desired work culture.
- Assist the HR team with the implementation of programs/initiatives to increase awareness and understanding by employees and leaders.
- Support the HR team to develop, implement, and improve processes for engagement and communication.
- Answer and direct departmental phone calls and organize appointments.
- Perform other Human Resources related duties as assigned.
- At least 2 years of human resources work experience with expertise in HR support and in environments that have a majority of non‑exempt workers.
- Exposure to transportation, food service, warehouse and customer service would be ideal.
- A demonstrated ability to engage with employees.
- Strong follow‑up skills.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Organized and able to follow through, keeping both short‑term and long‑term priorities in balance.
- Able to see initiatives through to completion, even while things are changing.
- Able to build effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels of an organization.
- College degree preferred, SHRM qualifications helpful.
