What You’ll Do- People Programs & Performance
- Lead and evolve programs for onboarding, performance management (through Rippling), and employee growth and development.
- Partner with leadership, and develop and facilitate communication plans on performance, compensation, and promotion decisions.
- Build and deliver manager training programs that strengthen leadership skills and drive consistent, equitable people practices.
- Own Maybern’s benefits and perks strategy, ensuring offerings are competitive, inclusive, and aligned with our culture and business goals.
- HR Operations & Compliance
- Act as a trusted advisor to managers and executives on HR best practices, employee relations, and team dynamics.
- Use data and reporting to provide insights that shape decisions on engagement, retention, and organizational health.
- Own and optimize Rippling, including policies, benefits, compliance, and multi‑state administration, ensuring our systems scale as we grow.
- Oversee day‑to‑day HR operations and support teams with empathy, clarity, and consistency.
- Manage sensitive employee relations issues with discretion and sound judgment.
- Develop, communicate, and maintain clear and compliant employee policies and procedures.
- Stay current on employment law and ensure compliance across federal, state, and local requirements.
- Oversee immigration and visa processes.
- Identify opportunities to streamline processes and build scalable, repeatable systems.
- Culture & Engagement
- Champion a strong employee experience through team‑building, engagement surveys, and feedback loops.
- Partner with our EA/Office Manager and managers on events, rituals, and retention strategies that reinforce our values.
- Org Design & Strategy
- Support the CEO and CoS in workforce planning and headcount management.
- Establish KPIs and metrics to measure the effectiveness of HR programs.

- Bring 6+ years of experience in People Operations or HR, with a track record of scaling programs at a growing startup.
- Have owned end‑to‑end people programs in a Series A–C company and thrive wearing many hats.
- Possess a deep understanding of U.S. employment law and multi‑state compliance, with the judgment to know when to elevate or seek counsel.
- Combine a systems‑oriented mindset with a bias for action, building processes that are both scalable and human‑centered.
- Are equally comfortable designing programs and rolling up your sleeves to execute them.
- Think like a business partner, using data and context to align people initiatives with company goals.
- Have hands‑on experience with Rippling and enjoy finding ways to make tools and workflows more efficient.
