We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to join a dynamic team responsible for migrating and modernizing post‑trade processing applications.
This role involves full lifecycle development, infrastructure setup, and integration management.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Java, Spring, and multithreading, along with experience in system migrations, server environments, and enterprise messaging systems.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the migration of critical applications, including server provisioning, environment setup, development, testing, and deployment.
- Manage upgrades for JDK, Perl, and CPAN, and resolve compatibility issues across environments.
- Oversee external system integrations and manage inbound/outbound data feeds.
- Configure and manage Autosys jobs, dependencies, and job consolidations.
- Coordinate deployments and lead issue resolution across technologies (Linux, TIBCO EMS, IBM MQ, Sybase, Apache/Tomcat, Oracle to DBaaS).
- Prepare release documentation and represent the team in Change Control Board reviews and business sign-offs.
- Collaborate with a global team to standardize infrastructure and adopt modern service models (PaaS, DBaaS, IaaS).
- 8+ years of software development experience.
- Minimum 5 years of hands‑on Java development (J2SE/J2EE) with Spring and Hibernate frameworks.
- Experience with Java multithreading and tools like Eclipse/Intelli
J, Git Hub, TOAD/SQL Developer. - Proficiency in Oracle and Sybase databases, SQL, and PL/SQL.
- Experience with Autosys job scheduler and version control systems (GIT, SVN).
- Strong Unix/Linux skills and understanding of network infrastructure.
- Experience with Apache, Tomcat, and Web Sphere in Linux environments.
- Proficiency in Perl and Shell scripting.
- Familiarity with messaging systems like TIBCO EMS and IBM MQ.
- Experience with build tools (Ant, Maven, Gradle) and SDLC tools like JIRA.
- Experience in production releases, code deployments, and go‑live support.
- Experience working in an onshore‑offshore model.
- Strong process orientation and ability to coach peers.
- Enthusiasm for learning new technologies and expanding technical boundaries.
