Retail Data & Automation Engineer

Job Description

Portabella, Quails, and Fino operate more than 70 stores across New York City, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and Maryland. We are looking for a Retail Data & Automation Engineer to join our Midtown Manhattan office and support the development of reporting tools and automated systems used in our daily retail operations.

This position focuses on building custom reports, improving existing data processes, and helping streamline the way information is organized and used across the company. The role involves working with sales, inventory, and POS data to create practical tools for our buying, planning, and operations teams.

• Develop and maintain automated reporting tools for sales, inventory, and replenishment
• Build custom dashboards using Excel, Power BI, or similar platforms
• Organize and process POS data from systems such as Island Pacific / Oracle
• Improve existing reporting workflows and reduce manual steps
• Assist with data automation projects to support buying and store operations
• Create tools to track SKU performance, size curves, sell-through, and store needs
• Work with warehouse and store teams to ensure data accuracy and clarity
• Support internal teams with ad-hoc reporting needs

• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, XLOOKUP, and automation-focused formulas
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools preferred
• Comfortable working with retail or POS data
• Attention to detail and ability to organize information clearly
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with multiple departments
• Experience with Island Pacific or Oracle RMS is helpful but not required
• Must have valid authorization to work in the United States

Compensation is open to discuss and will be based on experience.

• This is a full-time, on-site position in Midtown Manhattan.
