This role is with an elite law firm that has been known to stay ahead of the tech curve compared to its competitors. This firm works on high-profile cases across a broad span of industries which includes handling many recent high-profile acquisitions for clientele like Twitter, Microsoft(Open AI and Blizzard), Berkshire Hathaway, New York Mets, and Blackstone.

This firm is searching for a Senior Security Engineer to come in and play a critical role in the vision and direction of their elite Information Security team. You’ll take the lead on implementing security tools, processes, and other security initiatives. This position blends red team initiatives like hands-on penetration testing (across apps, networks, cloud, and mobile) and vulnerability assessments along with blue team procedures to simulate real-world attacks, dig deep into TTPs, and influence the firm’s security posture through continuous monitoring and system hardening.

Required Expertise and Core Competencies

• Deep understanding of modern attack methodologies, threat actor behavior, and exploitation techniques across network services and operating systems.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience conducting offensive security assessments, including red/purple team engagements, ethical hacking, and advanced penetration testing.
• Well-versed in security frameworks and methodologies with a solid grasp of evolving threat landscapes and known vulnerabilities.
• Proficient with industry-standard offensive security tools and platforms
• Strong foundational knowledge of network protocols, system internals (Windows and Linux), and web/application security architecture.
• Practical experience evaluating and testing the security posture of cloud-native and hybrid environments

Preferred Qualifications and Background

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 7 years of professional experience in offensive security, penetration testing, or related domains.
• Advanced certifications such as OSCP, GPEN, CISSP, CEH, GIAC, CISA, or OSEP are strongly preferred and reflect a high level of technical capability.

Base: 170-185k depending on years of experience, level of education obtained, and skill set. Their benefits package is also exceptional

Remote:
The Team gathers a few times a year around critical events, outages, and deployments.
