Serves to facilitate scrum to the larger team by ensuring the scrum framework is followed. He or she is committed to the scrum methodology, agile principles, and best practices-but should also remain flexible and open to opportunities for the team to improve their workflow
Location: 30 Rockefeller Plaza Lobby, New York, NY 10112 United States
Responsibilities:
- Management of project scope, milestones and all deliverables using various tools, such as Jira
- Work closely with key business stakeholders and peers to understand and refine business requirements, strategies and needs as they relate to the Scrum Team deliverables
- Cross-functional engagement and coordination of internal and external partners to move the ball forward on all aspects of the project.
- Activities include oversight and leadership on the delivery of projects, communicating to stakeholders, assisting the Product Owner/team in creating user stories and prioritizing the backlog, helps manage blockers and dependencies, creates and reports status during scrum ceremonies.
- Must be able to utilize and effectively communicate status of technical work to appropriate parties.
- B.S. degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, other related discipline or equivalent work experience
- 1-3 years of experience as an Agile Project Manager or Scrum Master
- Demonstrated success in management of technical development projects using agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of tools necessary to perform this role:
Jira, Confluence, PPT, Word, Lucid, etc. - Scrum Master or other Agile certifications (required)
- Technology Industry experience (desirable) Key Skills/Strengths - Excellent communication skills... Listening, presenting, facilitating... across functions + levels, both internal + external to NBCU - Ability to prioritize effectively, develop consensus and drive team decisions - Self-motivation; pro-actively identifies opportunities for improvement - Highly responsive in times of system/process failure; addresses issues timely, and brings them to appropriate resolution/closure - Can-do attitude;
