Compensation: $100,000 - $430,000 (commensurate with experience, skills, and role scope)
Position Overview
The Real Estate Associate will handle a full spectrum of commercial real estate and finance transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, lending, and securitization. This position provides the opportunity to work on complex matters representing lenders, borrowers, developers, investors, and institutional clients across multiple asset classes.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate purchase and sale agreements, leases, loan documents, and joint-venture or financing agreements.
- Conduct due diligence including title, survey, and entity review; manage closing processes and coordinate across internal and external stakeholders.
- Work with clients daily to align legal solutions with business goals.
- Review loan files, diligence materials, and transaction documents for mortgage and mezzanine financings and real estate-related securities transactions.
- Support origination, securitization, and syndication of commercial mortgage loans and other structured finance matters.
- Collaborate closely with partners and other team members while maintaining individual accountability for assigned projects.
- 3 - 6 years of relevant experience in commercial real estate transactions, financing, or securitization.
- Admission to the New York State Bar (required).
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Large-firm or complex-transaction experience preferred; exposure to both real estate and capital-markets work is a plus.
- High academic achievement and professional references demonstrating client-service excellence.
