We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – Purchase / Buyer to support our Electronics manufacturing operations. You will play a critical role in procuring electronic components and managing vendor relationships to maintain uninterrupted production workflows.
Key Responsibilities- Procures material to ensure continuous production while controlling inventory levels.
- Analyze purchase requisitions and determine the most cost effective, reliable supplier.
- Analyze customer ship schedule (backlog) and regularly communicates order status.
- Responds to Engineering Alert Notices (EAN) and places purchase orders if necessary.
- Responds to non-conforming (rejected) material to prevent production delays.
- Works closely with Suppliers to meet promised dates.
- Strong verbal and written communication, and experienced planning skills.
- Must be a team player for seamless coordination within and between departments.
- Awareness of pricing and inventory issues.
- Great attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure/deadlines.
- Knowledge of general purchasing practices and procedures.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with Suppliers and cross-functional teams.
