Seeds to Flowers Inc. was born out of a deep commitment to nurture resilience, hope, and healing in young girls who have endured the weight of trauma. At the heart of our mission is the belief that every girl possesses the potential to rise above her circumstances and bloom into her fullest self. Our nonprofit organization provides a safe space where girls can heal, grow, and reclaim their power through targeted therapeutic programs, mentoring, and community support.
Over the years, we have witnessed the transformative power of our work; our participants consistently report a marked decrease in trauma symptoms, enabling them to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Seeds to Flowers Inc., a nonprofit dedicated to empowering at‑risk girls ages 5–17 with complex trauma, is seeking a dynamic, visionary Board Chair to help lead our organization into its next chapter of growth and national impact.
Desired Qualities- Can take Seeds to Flowers to the next level through innovative thinking, strategic planning, and a deep commitment to youth development and trauma‑informed work.
- Has strong connections across multiple states to support partnership growth, funding opportunities, and national expansion.
- Is passionate about breaking the school‑to‑prison pipeline and creating pathways of healing, leadership, and success for girls and young women.
- Proven leadership experience on a nonprofit or corporate board.
- Strong fundraising experience and established networks in philanthropy, education, government, or community development.
- Ability to provide strategic oversight, governance, and accountability.
- Excellent communication skills and comfort representing the organization publicly.
- Experience working with historically excluded communities and a commitment to equity.
- Ability to support executive leadership and collaborate effectively with the board, staff, and community partners.
- Visionary mindset with the ability to guide long‑term planning, sustainability, and scale.
- Strong organizational, governance, and decision‑making skills.
- Connections to corporations, foundations, policymakers, community leaders, or national networks.
- Passion for youth empowerment, trauma‑informed care, and systems change.

We serve girls and young women ages 5–17 impacted by complex trauma through counseling, mentorship, financial literacy, career development, leadership programs, and college readiness initiatives. Our work centers community voice, healing, equity, and opportunity.
