The Assistant Director will also manage one to two fundraisers on the Real Estate team, in a way that typifies best practices in encouragement and getting the best possible work out of our team. This position will build relationships across all UJA-Federation divisions in order to maintain communication, encourage collaboration, and ensure maximal utilization of all available resources.
Major Responsibilities:
- Educate donors and prospects about the mission of UJA-Federation of New York in ways that inspire them to give. Accomplish this through one-on-one meetings, fundraising events, educational programs, volunteer projects, agency visits, and missions.
- Develop and implement appropriate fundraising strategies to increase the dollars raised for the annual campaign. This includes shepherding a major donor prospect through all phases of development, including identification, door-opening, engagement, and solicitation as well as assisting other teammates with this process. This also includes developing, managing, and executing on prospects and prospect lists that delve into the rich real estate community in New York.
- Manage one to two fundraisers on the Real Estate Division team. Serve as mentor and advisor - sharing best practices. Must manage time effectively to be able to carry a full fundraising portfolio while also being available and accessible to fundraisers they oversees.
- Maintain records of donor engagement and evaluate progress regularly with Campaign Director.
- Develop and update research on individuals and companies in the Real Estate Division portfolio, as well as philanthropic trends in the industry. Includes identification of viable prospects through outreach and relationship-building activities, and reading newspapers, trade publications, journals, and other related materials to remain generally informed.
- Bachelor's degree required;
Master's degree or JD preferred. - 8 - 10 years or more of post-college work experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong critical thinking and analytic abilities.
- Experience coordinating events.
- Knowledge of issues facing the Jewish community and passion for UJA-Federation's mission.
- Ability to initiate and follow-through on self-defined goals and objectives while remaining part of a collaborative team.

The salary range for this role is $100,000 - $125,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications listed above.
