Work closely with the Director of Nursing Education and Continuing Education, as well as the Westchester Division’s Director of Nursing Practice, to lead program planning, development, and implementation of health initiatives, including patient education, nursing education, and research. Manage daily operations such as curriculum development, staff performance, budget, strategic planning, evidence-based practices, and regulatory compliance. Collaborate with clinical leaders to identify in-service needs and empower nurses at all levels to live the hospital mission:
Putting Patients First.

Ideal Criteria:

• Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) Instructor
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor
• Success in developing strategic nursing education models
• Experience integrating technology into education and a passion for teaching
• Leadership experience in a Magnet-designated academic medical center
• Clinical background in psychiatric nursing
• Certification in Nursing Professional Development

Required Criteria:

• Master's degree in Nursing
• Progressive leadership experience in nursing education
• Current NYS RN licensure (or ability to obtain within 3 months)
• 5+ years of experience in nursing education

All applicants must meet the minimum requirements listed above. The ideal candidate will be a high-energy, proactive individual with at least 5 years of education experience, who is a CPI and BLS instructor, with a psychiatric nursing background preferred. The candidate will oversee mental health educators and be involved in daily operations. Our hospital is on its way to Magnet designation, having already submitted the application.
