Nurse Practitioner

Bronx Care has an opening for a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner. Our NICU is a level 3B NICU with an average daily census of 10-20 babies. Individual candidates require recent NICU bedside nursing experience and an NNP degree.

Responsibilities include attendance at deliveries, stabilization, intubation, and management of sick premature and term newborns. There is a full spectrum of consultants, HFOV, and Nitric Oxide. Necessary skills include intubation, UA/UV, PICC line placement, and blood draws. The NNP will work with a team of house physicians and neonatologists, making daily rounds with pediatric residents, writing orders, procedure notes, and some admission notes.

The NNP will occasionally assist in emergencies and evaluations of transfers from the Newborn Nursery. There is expected participation in Division and Departmental meetings and Grand Rounds. New grads are welcome.
