Join our hospital as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Pediatric Emergency Department, where you will practice evidence-based advanced nursing, lead patient care improvements, and support staff development. Our department handles approximately 55,000 pediatric cases annually and is a designated Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center, also supporting a Pediatric Emergency Medicine fellowship program.
We seek passionate nurses to deliver clinical teaching, ensure compliance, and inspire across Pediatric Emergency services. The role involves data collection, staff development, and transforming our growing team dedicated to Putting Patients First.
Ideal Criteria- Previous experience as a CNS is preferred
- 5 or more years of acute care RN experience in Pediatric Emergency
- Master's degree and certification as a Certified Clinical Nurse Specialist in Pediatrics
- Current New York State License as a Registered Nurse
- Demonstrated skills in leadership, communication, and teamwork

Screening Questions- Do you have a New York State RN License?
- Do you have a Master of Science in Nursing?
- Are you a board-certified Clinical Nurse Specialist?
- Do you have at least 5 years of acute care RN experience in pediatric emergency?
- ED experience (as a staff nurse or CNS) (required)
- Adult ED experience is acceptable
- Pediatric critical care experience is acceptable
- Experience in a Magnet organization (preferred)
- Experience in leading/facilitating committee work, especially shared governance (preferred)
- Experience with Clinical Ladder and professional development (preferred)
