Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in endorsing, interpreting, and enforcing the objectives and procedures of the Nursing Department. This role involves planning, directing, coordinating, delegating, and evaluating the activities of all nursing personnel within the assigned area.

Responsibilities

+ Endorse, interpret, and enforce the objectives and procedures of the Nursing Department.

+ Plan, direct, coordinate, delegate, and evaluate the activities of all nursing personnel within the assigned area.

+ Conduct daily conferences with unit staff to review and communicate recent policy and procedural updates.

+ Ensure courteous interactions with all unit visitors.

+ Coordinate with appropriate personnel to ensure adequate supplies and equipment are available on the assigned unit.

+ Provide consultation for unit personnel, resolve immediate problems, and communicate actions to the Unit Supervisor.

Essential Skills

+ Current RN license with active NYS Registration.

+ Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.

+ At least 6 months of experience within a Long-Term Care (LTC) setting.

+ Experience in case management, geriatrics, and triage.

+ Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

+ Good oral and written communication skills.

+ Good interpersonal skills.

+ Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Additional

Skills & Qualifications

+ Must be licensed for at least 6 months prior to application.

+ Possession of a driver's license or state  and Social Security Card.

Work Environment

This is a union position once converted to a permanent employee. The organization offers a supportive work environment with opportunities such as a sign-on bonus or student loan forgiveness upon becoming a permanent employee. Benefits include holiday pay, a 403b, and an employer-paid pension. Orientation is scheduled for Monday and Tuesday from 9 am to 5 pm, followed by three buddy shifts from Wednesday to Friday on specific shifts (7:30 am-3:30 pm, 3:30 pm-11:30 pm, 11:30 pm-7:30 am).

There is no interview required, and you will receive feedback the same day.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58.00 - $58.00/hr.
