Blue Pearl Pet Hospital is hiring a part-time Licensed Veterinary Technician in our Emergency and Critical Care department at Midtown, NY.

Schedule: Some weekend coverage needed but flexible.

Pay: $28.00 - $51.00 / hour + competitive shift differentials. Shift differentials: 6pm-8am Mon-Fri +$4.50/hr; 8am-6pm Sat-Sun +$4.50/hr; 6pm-8am Sat-Sun +$8.00/hr.

As a Veterinary Technician, you will:

• Triage and obtain patient history
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR
• Place IVC’s and advanced catheters like Jugular catheters, Central Lines or PICC lines
• Monitor and care for ventilator cases
• Work alongside skilled technicians and assistants in advanced medicine
• Mentor and train other co-workers
• Nurse critically ill patients back to health and reunite with pet parents
• Other relevant duties

Continuing education plan includes $500/year reimbursement for CVT and $750/year for VTS.
