Heartstrings Pet Hospice & In-Home Euthanasia & Aftercare provides a rewarding in‑home veterinarian role focused on compassionate end‑of‑life care in the Greater Long Island area.

Join our team to provide hospice and euthanasia services directly in pet families’ homes. You will have flexible, self‑managed scheduling with minimal administrative duties.

• Average 3–4 appointments per day
• Self‑managed scheduling with 2–5 days per week options (most between 9 am and 5 pm)

• Provide in‑home euthanasia and hospice care for geriatric and terminally ill pets.
• Guide families in end‑of‑life decision making.
• Serve as an extension of local veterinary clinics.

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
• Minimum 1 year of practicing experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and 100 lbs assisted.
• Capability to walk, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, stoop, stand, and reach consistently during the workday.
• Comfortable with prolonged driving periods.
• Demonstrated manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
