The Research Laboratory of Dr. Serdal Kirmizialtin in the Division of Science at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) and Dr. Mark Tuckerman in the Chemistry Department of New York University New York (NYUNY) seeks to appoint a talented researcher with an excellent record of academic success for a Post-Doctoral Associate position. The research will focus on a joint project on the development and use of machine learning and advanced molecular dynamics techniques to study nucleic acids.

The successful candidates must have a Ph.D in Chemistry, Physics, or related field, with extensive experience in the application of molecular dynamics simulations to biological systems, ideally in both methods and applications. An ideal candidate will have a solid background in physics and chemistry, particularly in the area of statistical mechanics. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with cutting‑edge resources in a collaborative research environment between the campuses of New York University.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. Experience with modern sampling techniques, good computer programming skills, a working knowledge of UNIX and shell scripting are highly desired. Experience in PLUMED will be very valuable.
