The Executive Dining Room at a prestigious New York City financial institution is seeking a skilled cook for immediate hire. Ideal candidates will have a positive attitude, impeccable work habits, and at least three years of experience in a fine‑dining restaurant or hotel setting.

The Executive Dining Room offers a weekly rotating à la carte menu, requiring high standards of quality, consistency, and attention to detail. Strong multitasking skills are essential. This role is perfect for an experienced cook seeking a better work–life balance or a motivated up‑and‑coming cook eager to grow in the world of high‑end hospitality.

Monday–Friday daytime schedule with holidays off. Occasional evening events required.

COMPENSATION:
The hourly rate for this position is $23.00 to $27.00.

• Executing preparation for daily menus and special events in a fine dining setting
• Maintain a clean and hygienic workstation and professional appearance

• 3 years of Restaurant or Hotel experience, ideally in a NYC fine dining or upscale setting.
• A Culinary School Degree or Comparable Trade School Certification.
• A positive, can do attitude.
• Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills.
• The ability to multi-task and work quickly to achieve daily production goals.
• A passion for food and cooking above all else.
• Must be able to acquire food safety certification.
• Demonstrate basic math and counting skills.
• Demonstrates interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling and/or extended walking and standing. This role may also require uniforms and/or usage of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

No specific education requirement beyond culinary school or trade certification.
