Position: Broker Leader I, Construction & Infrastructure

What the day will look like

The Broker Leader is responsible for assessing client needs, designing solutions and negotiating with insurance carriers to obtain coverage that is in a client s best interests.

  • Professional who develops and manages client relationships, account strategies and insurance marketing activities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to the client, in broking, designing, selling and servicing complex accounts.
  • Provide outstanding and timely service and support to clients, relationship managers and originator.
  • Identify and analyze client exposures and ensure policy coverage addresses all such exposures.
  • Facilitate the compilation of submission information in conjunction with clients, relationship managers, originators and service center support.
  • Finalize market submission and product design options to clients, relationship managers, and originators.
  • Review and analyze quotes and binders to ensure appropriate coverage.
  • Detailed knowledge of the existing and prospected business within the segment.
  • Insurance carrier relations specific to the segment.
  • Bespoke broking and account reviews.
  • Detailed knowledge of the market dynamics within the segment.
  • Retain and grow assigned clients / prospects.
  • Adhere to the highest standards of professionalism and ethical behavior in all activities and able to work well in a team environment.
  • Potential management responsibilities.
  • Travel as required for client, prospect and industry events.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
  • Minimum 15+ years construction/infrastructure customer service and brokerage support experience.
  • Agent/Broker License.
  • Proven collaboration skills.
  • Strong oral presentation skills and the ability to clearly articulate complex written messages.
  • A network of carrier relationships.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Strong work ethic.
Preferred Experience
  • Broking experience on major complex risks.
  • Management Skills Preferred.
  • Computer knowledge:
    Adept with Microsoft Office Suite.
Education
  • Bachelor s degree required.

Pay Transparency Laws:

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $250,000 to $350,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant s geographic location.

This position is eligible to participate in one of Aon s annual incentive plans to receive an annual discretionary bonus in addition to base salary. The amount of any bonus varies and…
