PositionSummary
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Per Diem Research Data Associate. We are seeking a part‑time bilingual English and Mandarin Chinese coordinator to assist Dr. Shonna Yin, Associate Professor of Pediatrics and Population Health, with projects in the Department of Pediatrics at NYU Grossman School of Medicine/Bellevue Hospital Center/Charles
B. Wang Community Health Center. The position supports study management and data collection for projects on the impact of parent literacy on children’s health, including medication safety, chronic disease management, and obesity prevention. This role also offers the possibility to collaborate on scholarly abstracts and publications.
- Coordination of Data Collection: Perform parent interviews and administer assessments, enroll families, coordinate follow‑up.
- Maintenance of Research Data: Score questionnaires and assessments, enter data, create and manage databases.
- Administrative Support: Prepare and translate documents, prepare materials for assessments, assist with Institutional Review Board documents, assist in manuscript and grant preparation, order and organize study materials, including incentives and office supplies.
- Associate’s Degree required.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin, with reading and writing skills in both languages.
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- Prior experience working with children and families preferred.
- Prior research experience preferred.
- Ability to commit to a 2‑year engagement preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Salary range: $28.15 - $28.15 per hour (NY State salary transparency). Actual salaries depend on experience, specialty, education, and hospital needs. The rate listed does not include bonuses, incentive pay, differential pay, or other compensation.
