As a Security Officer - Museum Unarmed Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a renowned cultural institution. Your role will involve conducting regular patrols, remaining visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and delivering outstanding customer service to all visitors and staff.

What You'll Do:

• Provide exceptional customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies within a cultural institution setting.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, taking appropriate action as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including both the interior and the perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
• Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or unusual occurrences to appropriate Allied Universal personnel and/or client representatives.
• Assist visitors, staff, and guests with directions and information, maintaining a professional and approachable demeanor at all times.
• Support emergency response activities in accordance with site protocols and Allied Universal guidelines.
• Maintain accurate and detailed logs and/or reports of patrols, incidents, and other security-related activities as required by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
• Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
