Security Officer - Corporate

Responsibilities:

* Maintain a strong and visible presence to ensure safety and security.

* Monitor and control access points, ensuring only authorized personnel enter designated areas.

* Provide exceptional customer service by assisting guests with directions, inquiries, and general assistance.

* Conduct routine patrols and inspections of the premises to detect and deter any suspicious or unauthorized activity.

* Respond promptly and effectively to incidents, emergencies, and alarms, following established protocols.

* Collaborate with local law enforcement, emergency services, and other security personnel as needed.

* Document and report all incidents, observations, and actions taken during shifts.

* Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times, reflecting the values of our organization.

Qualifications:

* Minimum of 1 year Security Officer experience - preferably in a commercial environment

* Valid NYS Security Guard License that will not expire for at least 3 months

* Valid F01/F03/F04, and CPR Certification a strong plus

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively

* Demonstrate customer service skills, including the ability to professionally handle difficult situations

* Familiarity with security systems, such as surveillance cameras, access control, and alarm systems

* Excellent observation and problem-solving abilities to identify potential security risks and take appropriate action

* Physical fitness and ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods, as well as lift and carry heavy objects when required

* Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays

* Integrity, reliability, and a strong sense of responsibility towards ensuring the safety and well-being of guests and staff

* High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant certifications or training in security or guest services will be an advantage

Compensation: $18.00 per hour
