As a Locksmith on the Stuytown Locksmith team, you’ll troubleshoot and make improvements to the place our residents call home.

What you will do
  • Perform routine locksmith work regarding repining cylinders and cutting keys.
  • Installation of apartment entry door cylinders, locks and hardware.
  • Repair apartment and common area doors.
  • Diagnosis and repair (replacement as needed) the hardware related to doors, locks and keyed access locations.
  • Repair and replacement of all windows and glass.
  • Additional duties may be assigned by your Supervisor.
What you should have
  • 3‑5+ years of trade experience in similar work.
  • Trade school graduation or equivalent education is a plus.
  • Some computer skills necessary to manage work order system.
  • Able to multi‑task under high pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Weekends or overtime required on occasion.
  • A strong desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
  • A belief that doing the right thing is the only option, no matter how difficult it might be.
  • A willingness to respond to emergency situations no matter the time of day.
  • A valid Driver's License must be enrolled in the New York State License Event Notification Service (LENS) program.
  • Ability to use tablet‑based work order program to complete assigned work orders.
  • Basic–Intermediate understanding of Microsoft Outlook.
  • Excellent problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Overtime is available and required in emergency situations.
  • Able to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs.).

Base Salary: $25.45 (Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience & location.)

Certain benefits do not apply where superseded by collective bargaining agreement.
