HVAC Technician

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Part-Time HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining HVAC systems for commercial customers. This role is perfect for a technician looking for flexible hours and steady, ongoing work.

• Diagnose and repair HVAC system issues, including heating, ventilation, cooling, and refrigeration units
• Perform routine maintenance, tune-ups, and system inspections
• Install HVAC units, thermostats, ductwork, and related components
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical components of HVAC systems
• Provide clear communication to customers regarding findings, recommendations, and repairs
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent
• Ensure all work meets local building codes and safety standards
• Collaborate with office staff to schedule and complete service calls efficiently

• Minimum 2–3 years of HVAC service and repair experience
• EPA 608 certification required
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Strong understanding of HVAC diagnostics, tools, and equipment
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work in various indoor/outdoor environments

• New York City refrigeration license or similar credentials
• Experience with commercial HVAC systems
• Electrical experience is a plus (not required)
