As a Staff Backend Engineer
, you’ll play a key role in designing and scaling high‑performance backend systems that power a global marketplace. You’ll collaborate closely with founders, designers, and fellow engineers to craft elegant, reliable APIs and infrastructure that enable developers to build on top of the platform.

You will:

• Design and build performant, scalable backend APIs used by internal and external developers.
• Architect systems and primitives that accelerate development and improve reliability.
• Collaborate with product and design to turn vision into clean, maintainable code and data models.
• Write and maintain high‑quality code that prioritizes clarity, speed, and simplicity.
• Continuously refactor and remove outdated systems to maintain a modern, efficient architecture.
• Contribute reusable patterns and tools that increase developer leverage across the team.
• Prototype quickly, ship fast, and iterate based on real user feedback.

You might be a great fit if you:

• Have 7+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Are fluent in one or more modern backend languages (e.g. Go, Type Script, Rust, Python, or similar).
• Have deep experience designing RESTful or Graph
  
  QL APIs and scalable system architectures.
• Care about developer experience and API design quality.
• Are comfortable owning large projects end‑to‑end, from ideation to production.
• Value simplicity, performance, and maintainability in your code.
• Have experience in fast‑paced startup environments where speed and precision both matter.

• Experience working with creator platforms, marketplaces, or financial systems.
• Prior experience in Series A/B startups or small, fast‑moving teams.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) and modern infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Interest in building internal tools and developer frameworks that enhance team productivity.
