Back End Engineer (All Levels) at Bilt.

Bilt is the loyalty program for renters, transforming rent payments into valuable rewards while connecting members with exclusive Neighborhood Benefits. Members earn Bilt Points for on-time rent payments and can transfer points to airline miles or hotel points, redeem for purchases, or save for a home down payment. Rent payments can be reported to major credit bureaus for free, with benefits at over 40,000 merchants nationwide.

Bilt partners with top multifamily owners to manage payments for millions of units. Residents pay through the Bilt Payment Center and access benefits including additional earn opportunities on new leases and renewals.

Compensation details:
The salary range for a Back End Engineer is $170,000 - $225,000 (based on YOE/level). Eligible for equity and an annual performance-based bonus. We are considering candidates with differing levels of expertise; leveling will be based on experience and interview performance.

• Investigate and utilize Google Cloud Platform services to continuously improve application architecture
• Implement microservices using Java and Quarkus framework
• Propose and enhance automation initiatives related to infrastructure as code, CI/CD, monitoring and alerting
• Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle
• Write well-designed, testable, and efficient code
• Become a foundational member of our team, working alongside the Head of Engineering and Head of Product

• 5+ years of experience
• Proven hands-on software development experience
• Demonstrable experience in Java development
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform and/or AWS or Azure
• Great interpersonal skills and a team player
• A burning desire to win and reach overall company goals

• Knowledge of the start-up world is preferred

At Bilt Rewards, compensation is discussed openly. Roles may have salary ranges and leveling is based on experience and interview performance. New hires typically start at the lower end of the range with opportunities for growth over time.
