Arch is a Series B financial technology company that automates the management of private investments, improving access, understanding, and the human experience of investing across asset classes.
Private investments such as venture capital, hedge funds, and private equity make up roughly 25% of the investment universe. Investors, advisors, banks, families, and managers track hundreds of investments in complicated spreadsheets, file folders, and busy inboxes. This is tedious and time‑consuming, with opportunities for manual data entry errors, inconsistent reporting, and lost information. Enter Arch. Arch delivers standardized data, documents, and insights in a single platform, avoiding the need to chase information across dozens or hundreds of portals.
Our purpose is to save investors’ time while empowering them to make more informed investment decisions, leading to better financial outcomes.
We are a fast‑growing, dynamic team of 120+, serving over 400 clients, including several of America’s largest banks, families, and financial institutions. We’ve doubled the size of the company every year since inception and we are looking to hire in all departments as we scale.
The RoleAs a Software Engineer, you’ll help develop and scale core components of our platform. Your work will support the automation of complex processes, the launch of new product offerings, and the growth of our infrastructure. This is an important role, as your contributions will directly enable technology that could power trillions in investments and drive meaningful impact for our clients. You’ll collaborate closely with fellow engineers, product managers, and other team members to deliver solutions that make a difference in our clients’ investment processes.
YourResponsibilities Will Include
- Work with cross‑functional teams (product, design, operations, infrastructure) to build and improve application features.
- Contribute to both user‑facing interfaces and backend services using modern frameworks and technologies.
- Help develop reusable software components and APIs that connect front‑end and back‑end systems.
- Write clean, efficient, and reliable code, and learn how to optimize for performance and scalability.
- Participate in code reviews and learn best practices from peers and senior engineers.
- Assist in designing and implementing systems that are scalable and maintainable across the stack.
- Troubleshoot and fix issues across front‑end, APIs, and databases.
- Gain experience working with multiple programming languages, frameworks, and databases.
- Take responsibility for assigned tasks and features, developing an end‑to‑end understanding of how they work.
- 2+ years of programming experience.
- Currently pursuing or holding a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent, or a Ph.D. in a technical field.
- Experience building maintainable and testable codebases.
