Overview
We’re seeking a detail-oriented Senior Accounting Specialist to oversee full-cycle Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable in a fast-moving, customer-driven environment. You’ll play a key role in keeping financial operations accurate — from managing vendor relationships to reconciling daily sales transactions — while contributing to process improvements and supporting growth.
The ideal candidate will have at least five years of AP/AR or accounting experience, solid knowledge of GAAP, and proficiency with a large ERP system. This is a direct hire opportunity offering a full benefits package.
Responsibilities- Manage AP from invoice coding through payment (ACH, wire, check) in a high-volume environment.
- Handle AR by preparing invoices, applying cash, and balancing accounts.
- Reconcile high-volume daily transactions from multiple e-commerce and distribution platforms.
- Track deferred revenue (e.g., gift cards, prepaid sales) and merchant fees with accurate journal entries.
- Verify purchase orders, receipts, and invoices for accuracy.
- Ensure revenue entries align with contractual terms and accounting standards.
- Maintain vendor records, support audits, and assist with year-end 1099 reporting.
- 3+ years of AP/AR experience, ideally in e-commerce, consumer goods, or manufacturing.
- ERP expertise (SAP, Net Suite, etc.); bonus if you’ve worked with Shopify or Ship Station.
- Strong GAAP knowledge, including revenue recognition principles.
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
