Senior Expert Accountant

• building expertise accounting knowledge in our SSC Finance teams
• problem solving more complex accounting and tax topics
• being a sparring partner for local accountants to discuss complex accounting and tax topic
• creating and maintaining knowledge libraries incl exception lists and making sure our finance teams consistently improving their knowledge
• handling month-end closing and year-end closing activities
• developing and improving accounting procedures, policies and internal controls
• reviewing internal controls and account reconciliation and supporting internal and external audit activities
• participating in consolidation processes in line with group accounting policies
• consulting the transition of financial processes into the Shared Services Center
• solid knowledge of German and Polish accounting and tax standards, policies and systems
• Fluent German and ability to communicate with Senior Stakeholders
• A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field or/and ACCA/CIMA qualification
• good knowledge of IFRS
• 5+ years of proven experience in accounting, including experience as a Chief Accountant/Expert Accountant, preferably in international or multi-entity environment
• Ability to work independently
• Experience with SAP
• Ability to educate/ share knowledge with more junior team members
