Job Summary
The Staff Accountant is responsible for day-to-day accounting and month-end close activities, ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting standards. The role supports internal decision making and external constituents with accurate and timely financial information.
Base Pay Range$64,260.00/yr – $/yr
Responsibilities- Prepare and upload monthly journal entries to the General Ledger.
- Conduct balance sheet account analysis and reconciliations.
- Reconcile bank statements to business records to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
- Ensure journal entries properly reflect operating performance in accordance with GAAP.
- Work as part of a cohesive team to meet tight deadlines and respond quickly to changes in business environment, ensuring compliance with internal controls and GAAP reporting.
- Recommend and implement enhancements to current processes to improve automation of accounting and reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- 2 years of general accounting experience.
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Ability and willingness to work in a fast‑paced environment and meet critical business deadlines.
- Highly proficient in Office 365/Google Docs, with advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience working with Oracle Applications (Ledger, Payables, Purchasing, Assets) preferred.
