Finance Coordinator (aHEO)
POSITION DETAILSThe Finance Coordinator will report to the Accounts Payable Manager at The City College of New York (CCNY). In addition to the overview duties, tasks include but are not limited to:
- Perform accounts payable functions for tax levy (TL) and non-tax levy (NTL) business units within the College, including processing invoices to orders, ensuring prompt payments to vendors, and conducting travel and expense reimbursements.
- Process, update, and reconcile purchasing, travel, and net cards.
- Audit payments to ensure accuracy and proper documentation.
- Coordinate with and provide excellent customer service to departments throughout the year, particularly during the year-end close to finalize payments to vendors and staff members.
- Prepare accounting entries, analyses, reconciliations; and maintain payment data spreadsheets for tax levy and non-tax levy accounts.
- Follow up with the Office of State Comptroller (OSC) as necessary for all issues related to accounts payable, including audits.
- Assist the Accounts Payable Manager with obtaining and analyzing data from reports on TL and NTL business matters.
- Assist the Unit with training department users on how to utilize the Accounts Payable and Travel and Employee Reimbursements modules effectively.
- Perform related duties as assigned.
Bachelor's Degree required.
CUNY TITLE OVERVIEWPerforms financial analysis and administrative work related to College or unit accounting.
- Prepares, reconciles and distributes expenditure and related accounting reports
- Creates and maintains various spreadsheets related to financial analysis
- Processes and tracks transactional entries
- Provides support in the administration of various business operations
- Coordinates with various departments on accounting matters
- Monitors systems and operations to assure a smooth workflow
- Performs related duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITSSalary Range: $60,394 - $68,245. Salary commensurate with education and experience.
CUNY is in the process of implementing salary schedule increases. Once implemented, salaries of eligible employees will increase by approximately 9.54% with an additional increase of 3.5% effective 9/1/26, in accordance with the terms of the PSC-CUNY collective bargaining agreement.
