Tax Supervisor – Overview

Join Withum as a Tax Supervisor to build and lead a high‑performance tax team and deliver exceptional client service across a broad portfolio of complex tax matters.

, or Whippany, NJ
. Travel may be required.

• Prepare complex multistate S‑corp and partnership income tax returns
• Prepare high‑net‑worth individual returns
• Review mid‑level multistate S‑corp and partnership returns
• Review mid‑level complexity individual returns
• Research and draft memorandum on complex tax matters
• Identify tax planning opportunities and drive client solutions
• Handle and resolve tax controversies
• Train and supervise staff accountants

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Licensed CPA or actively pursuing CPA certification with parts passed
• Preferred:
  Master’s of Science in Taxation (not required)
• At least 4 years of public accounting experience
• Exceptional client‑service and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects
• Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills; excellent verbal and written presentation skills
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills with strong attention to detail
• Ability to travel as needed

Competitive base salary and bonus program, varying by location:

• New York City – $90,000 to $135,000
• Whippany, NJ – $85,000 to $125,000
