Title: Senior Accountant
Location: New York, NY (Onsite)
Employment Type: Full Time
Base pay range: $/yr - $/yr
Description: Support key areas of the controllership function, focusing on lease accounting, accrued liabilities, payroll, and monthly close activities. Ideal for a hands-on, detail-oriented professional eager to enhance core operational accounting processes in a dynamic setting. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in daily accounting tasks. Drive improvements in data integrity, systems, and controls.
Key Responsibilities- Manage lease schedules, journal entries, and reconciliations for finance and operating leases.
- Track, record, and reconcile accrued expenses related to various business functions.
- Support payroll accounting activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and employee bonus accruals.
- Prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations for monthly close activities.
- Support automation and system enhancements for accounting workflows.
- Participate in special projects, including consolidations and system implementations.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA preferred or in progress.
- 3-6 years of accounting experience; technical accounting and/or controllership experience highly valued.
- Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and lease accounting standards.
- Experience with compliance and controls in a regulated environment.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and accounting tools.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
