Senior Associate, Accounting & CFO Services

Stable Rock is seeking a highly collaborative, detail-oriented Senior Associate to join and support the Accounting & CFO Services team. The ideal candidate will prepare and analyze financial information, ensuring accuracy and compliance. This position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of businesses across different industries and lifecycle stages, contributing to their financial health and success. This is a hybrid role with in-office collaboration and remote flexibility.

• Financial Reporting & Analysis:
  Assist in the preparation of financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements) and monthly, quarterly, and annual client reports.
• Bookkeeping & Accounting:
  Maintain accurate financial records for multiple clients; reconcile bank statements; perform monthly and quarterly write-ups; make general journal entries; assist in tax preparation and audits; help prepare sales tax returns.
• Client Service:
  Support client servicing for assigned clients; maintain strong client relationships through regular communication; participate in client meetings to discuss financial performance, provide recommendations, and plan for future needs.
• Cross-Departmental
  
  Collaboration:
  
  Work with other Stable Rock departments to deliver integrated client services.

• Education:
  
  Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Experience:
  
  3–5+ years in accounting/bookkeeping and finance or related field; prior public accounting or multi-client experience preferred.
• Certifications:
  
  CPA or actively pursuing CPA certification is a plus.
• Skills:
  
  Strong ability to manage multiple clients/projects and deadlines; capable in autonomous as well as team settings; excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills; strong client service orientation.
• Software & Technology:
  Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word; knowledge of G/L software such as Xero, Quick Books (desktop and online), Net Suite, and Sage Intacct; familiarity with E-Commerce platforms, inventory and SaaS software is a plus.

Hybrid (New York, NY or Elmsford, NY).

All-in compensation range: $75,000 to $95,000 per year.
