Accounting Analyst; Private Equity

Our client, a growing Technology Investment and Advisory firm in Midtown, NY, is looking to add an experienced Accounting Analyst to their team! The Accounting Analyst responsibilities will involve all corporate accounting functions including journal entries, AR, AP, travel and expense management and reporting, and payment reconciliations. This is a very exciting role with exposure to senior-level management and opportunity for growth in a rapidly expanding firm.

Job Responsibilities:

• Utilize Quick Books and Microsoft Excel on a daily basis for accounting operations
• Maintain and review financial statements, keeping in compliance with GAAP
• Review and process expense reports of consultants
• Perform bank reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner
• Administer 401(k) and benefit plans for internal employees
• Process journal entries and assist with month-end close

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business (Accounting, Business, Finance), along with previous financial services or management consulting experience
• Prior experience using Quick Books and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, V-Lookups, SUMMIFS)
• Knowledge of 401(k) administration
• CPA is a BIG plus
• Strong communication skills, as this individual will be communicating with multiple departments
