Payroll Accountant Analyst

Our client, a leading organization in the finance sector, is seeking a Payroll Accountant Analyst to join their team. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Payroll Accountant Analyst

Location: New York, New York

Pay Range: $40.00/hour - $45.00/hour

• Verify accuracy of information provided on the monthly payroll files to ensure that employees are paid correctly and within the payroll deadlines.
• Complete detailed monthly payroll variance analysis and reconciliation to inform management of variances that require further review.
• Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
• Identify gaps and seek opportunities for continuous payroll process improvement and suggest appropriate corrective action to Senior Management which can simplify, automate, improve accuracy and/or enhance controls.
• Identify payroll trends and share recommendations for improvement with the team.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in payroll accounting or a similar role.
• Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
