Job Title: Property Tax Accountant
Location: Remote
Duration: 4-6 Months
Pay Range: $55-60/HR W2

Our client, a leading organization in the real estate and financial services industry, is seeking a Property Tax Accountant to join their team. As a Property Tax Accountant, you will be part of the Finance Department supporting property tax compliance and management. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

• Prepare and file property tax returns for real and personal property across multiple states and jurisdictions.
• Review property tax assessments, identify discrepancies, and support appeals when necessary.
• Maintain accurate property tax records and reconcile tax accounts with the general ledger.
• Calculate and process property tax accruals and payments in accordance with deadlines.
• Research and interpret property tax laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in property tax accounting or a related tax function.
• Strong understanding of property tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel; experience with tax software is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines independently.
