What Will You Be Part Of?
You’ll also be part of Finsmart’s scalable and flexible accounting ecosystem, providing clients access to expert talent while giving you the autonomy to work independently with clients. You’ll collaborate directly with highly qualified professionals (CPAs, CMAs, CAs, ACCAs) and report straight to the founder, making a tangible impact on client success, team growth, and business operations.
Who Are We Looking For?
We’re looking for a dedicated and detail‑oriented Senior U.S. Accountant with a strong foundation in accounting practices and a passion for delivering accurate and insightful financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have fluent English communication skills, both written and spoken, to effectively manage relationships with international clients and collaborate with cross‑functional teams.
You should have hands‑on experience handling U.S.
-based clients and possess expertise in areas such as bank reconciliation, payroll bookkeeping, depreciation, amortization, deferred revenue, prepaid and accrual entries, as well as Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet analysis. Familiarity with accounting tools like Quick Books Online (QB Certification is a plus), Xero, and other relevant software is highly valued.
The role requires someone who is client‑focused, proactive, and eager to learn new skills and applications to enhance client servicing. You will manage client work, ensure timely communication, and assist in resolving client escalations while contributing to drafting SOPs and improving processes. Regular participation in client calls and collaboration with the Team Lead will be essential in ensuring client satisfaction and fostering long‑term relationships.

What’s the Schedule Like?
This is a full‑time, permanent role, work from office based in Pune. Your schedule runs from 2:30 PM to 11:30 PM, Monday to Friday, giving you weekends off to rest, recharge, and focus on personal interests.
Candidate SpecificationsFluent written and verbal English communication is a must.
Exposure of handling overseas clients is a must.
Desire to learn new skills and apps to excel is necessary.
QB Certification is an added advantage.
Educational QualificationB.Com or M.Com or CA Inter or CA or MBA or ICWA
Relevant Experience2 years or more in core US Accounting process or similar domain is a must. Good working knowledge of US Accounting, Month closing and reporting is necessary.
