We are currently partnered with a reputable Real Estate Firm in New York. As they look to scale in 2026, they are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Leader to join a dynamic finance team.

• Oversee the day-to-day operational accounting functions, including but not limited to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Implement and optimize efficient processes to enhance the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide insights into financial performance and trends.
• Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
• Continuously assess and enhance control procedures to align with industry best practices.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors during quarterly and annual audits.
• Prepare audit schedules and coordinate responses to audit inquiries.
• Supervise and mentor a talented team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
• Collaborate with other departments to drive cross-functional initiatives and ensure seamless financial operations.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA is preferable.
• 5-7 years of progressive experience in accounting, with a focus on operational accounting.
• Previous experience in an accounting or managerial role, preferably in a Real Estate or Construction Firm.
• Background in public accounting is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
