Our client is a leading law firm based in New York City. They are seeking an Accounting Specialist to join the team on a Temp-to-Perm basis, starting as soon as possible. The position is fully on site at their beautiful Downtown Manhattan office.
Job Details- Coordinate Annual and Quarterly filings
- Assist with preparation and management of budgets
- Prepare financial statements and coordinate audits
- Ensure proper expense coding and compliance
- Review and post journal entries to General Ledger
- Report, research, and correct variances
- Execute general account reconciliations
- Pay Rate: $40-60 per hour, based on experience
- Time Commitment:
Long term temporary position with potential to go perm
- Bachelor’s degree required – preferred major in Finance, Accounting, or similar
- 5+ years’ Accounting experience at a Law Firm
- Must have experience with account reconciliations and strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Precise, detail-oriented, and good with numbers
- Must be extremely proficient in Excel
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Strong verbal and written communicator with excellent follow-through
