Role: Senior Accountant

Salary: $100,000 - $130,000/annually

Location: Nassau County (Long Island, NY) – Hybrid (4 days a week on-site)

The Senior Accountant role requires a strong grasp of accounting principles and a proactive approach to financial analysis. The individual will manage core accounting functions, review expenditures, prepare detailed reports, and provide strategic recommendations to enhance operational efficiency and minimize unnecessary costs. The position also involves maintaining accurate financial records, monitoring revenue streams and expenses, and ensuring compliance with tax and regulatory requirements.

CPA is required.

• Execute daily general ledger activities to maintain timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Perform bank reconciliations, validate deposits, and resolve banking-related inquiries.
• Support month-end closing processes, including journal entry preparation, expense accruals, account reviews, and reconciliations.
• Analyze and reconcile multiple ledger accounts, ensuring proper documentation and supporting data.
• Oversee indirect tax compliance across the U.S., Canada, and select European regions, including preparation and filing of returns.
• Conduct cost accounting activities, comparing budgeted figures to actuals, and forecast labor, inventory, and process costs.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and profitability improvements.
• Ensure adherence to financial regulations and promote cost-effective practices.

• CPA required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment a plus.
• Background in auditing or public accounting is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complexity and collaborate effectively.
• Proficiency in Oracle or similar enterprise resource planning systems required.
